Thomas (Tommy) Henderson

“It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sad passing of Tommy.”

Tommy of Aysgarth Drive, Accrington passed away suddenly in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Sunday 7^th August 2016, aged 62 years.

Tommy was a familiar face to many from running his own business, his beloved Sunbed Shop on Union Road in Ossy.  Prior to setting up on his own Tommy worked at The Star Paper Mill for 16 years.

When not at the shop Tommy loved attending to his Koi Carp fish in his garden.  He also enjoyed football and was a long time, loyal supporter of Blackburn Rovers.  He also liked to watch Motor Racing and Formula 1.  Tommy lived life to the full and as and when he got the chance he would take Linda away on holiday.  He especially loved going on cruises, his favourite places included Spain, France, Cyprus and Greece.  Tommy was a true family man and loved nothing better than spending time with his much loved family.

The dearly loving husband to Linda of 40 years, a much loved father of Lucy, Sarah and Louise, a dear father in law of Alex and Scott, a treasured grandad of Tallulah, Thomas, Jordan, Elle and Harriet, a cherished great grandad, a loving son in law of Jean and Thomas and a dear brother in law of Pauline and Dave.

Everyone who knew Tommy are welcome to attend his funeral service.  It will be held on Thursday 18^th August, at 1.45pm at Accrington Cemetery Chapel prior to interment in Accrington Cemetery.  Flowers are welcome, c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
