Sylvia Taylor
Sylvia Taylor, formerly of Clayton-Le-Moors, passed away peacefully in Lakeside View Nursing Home, Southport on Tuesday 13th August 2019, aged 80 years.
In her early working life Sylvia worked in the cotton mills, after marrying her soulmate Roy she started her married life in Mill Entrance and then after having her children worked at Brook Bond OXO.
She also became a youth leader at New Era Youth Club along with Roy. Later in life she joined the Raynet Radio Club, where she even took exams in Morse Code in support of their joint hobby, they also helped marshalling at events where radio operators were needed.
In her spare time, she enjoyed singing and joined a local choir and took part in choir recitals. She also loved animals, and wherever there were animals there you’d find Sylvia.
For the past 4 years Sylvia resided at Lakeside View Nursing Home where she was well cared for and the family would like to pass on their grateful thanks to all the staff.
A loving wife of the late Roy Hogg Taylor, Sylvia sadly leaves behind her much loved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2.20pm, (today) Friday 23rd August 2019 at Accrington Crematorium.
