Shirley McNamara

Shirley McNamara of Exchange Street, Accrington, died unexpectedly on Saturday 30^th November 2024, aged 65 years.

During her life Shirley worked for many years at Ashworth & Hoyle Starline Shoes in Rawtenstall as a footwear operative, then as a cleaner at the Yorkshire Bank in Accrington up until it closed in 2016.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching TV and listening to music, especially Shakin Stevens and Rock & Roll.  She also enjoyed playing bingo and also had a fondness for cats and dogs and all animals in general.

Shirley sadly leaves behind her husband William (Bill), her much loved daughter Susan, as well as her dear Aunty Loraine and the Marshall family.

She will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1.00pm on Tuesday 17^th December 2024, at Accrington Crematorium. People attending are invited to wear a splash of blue, which was Shirley’s favourite colour.
