Roy Cook
Roy Cook of Mallard Place, Oswaldtwistle, died peacefully on Sunday 29th May 2016, aged 69 years.
After leaving school Roy started his working life at Vine Mill, he later moved to MC Kitchen for a number of years, he then worked for Wills Fabrics and later Express Gifts up until his retirement.
He loved sport and was a devoted lifelong Burnley supporter, and was a season ticket holder down at Turfmoor. He also greatly enjoyed watching the cricket at Church & Oswaldtwistle Cricket Club. In his spare time he enjoyed doing crosswords and puzzles. Roy also loved music and going walking. His best pastime though was spending time with his family and friends. He was also a member of Oswaldtwistle Conservative Club.
Roy was a much loved brother of Colin and a dear brother in law of Linda, a dearly loving uncle of Gary and his wife Claire, and their treasured children James and Katie he was also a special friend of Maureen and Paul.
His funeral service will take place at 12.30pm on Thursday 9th June 2016 at Immanuel Parish Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, prior to interment in the church yard.
