Ronald (Ron) Lomax
Ronald Lomax, of Catlow Hall Street, Oswaldwitstle, passed away peacefully on Thursday 4th August 2022, aged 87 years.
Throughout his working life, Ronald was a welder and worked for various companies including Rothwells, Conveyor & Elevator and Stuart Engineering.
In his spare time and during his retirement he greatly enjoyed all kinds of sport, especially football, cricket, watching darts and playing snooker. He was also a member of many local clubs too, including Oswaldtwistle Immanuel Cricket Club, Church Cricket Club, Immanuel Bowling Club and Oswaldtwistle Conservative Club.
He also loved going away on holiday and has travelled all over Europe, as well as Florida, Australia and New Zealand. Back home he enjoyed walking and spending time with Lottie his chocolate Labrador.
He sadly leaves behind his dearly loved children Garth and Suzanne, his dear son in law Chris, his treasured grandchildren Samantha and Jack and his dear sister Joyce.
Ron will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends.
His funeral service will be held at 11.00am on Tuesday 16th August 2022 at Accrington Crematorium.
