Roger Barnes
Roger Barnes of Shelley Drive, Baxenden, died suddenly but peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday 13th June 2016, aged 65 years.
Roger spent most of his working life as a flour milling engineer, a job which he held and loved for over 30 years up until his retirement in 2015. In his spare time he enjoyed socialising and going out with family and friends, he also took time to relax by having family holidays to a small fishing village in Majorca, as well as holidays to Maderia and the Algarve.
Roger leaves behind his dearly loved wife Jennifer, his much loved son Robert and his partner Emily, his treasured grandson Jenson, his dear sister Jackie and brother in law Pete, his dear in laws Barbara, Deborah, Jane and Billy, Peter and Barbara, his dear mother in law Irene and step father Derek, also his many nephews and nieces Becca, Will, Matthew, Daniel, Sarah, John, Phillip Vicky and his great nephews Ethan, Noah and Scott.
He will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends in Baxenden and Wellingborough.

It was a privilege to know someone like Roger. I worked along side the Engineering team for more than 16years. I’m really glad to share and have a catch up chat with him just recently when he came down to join a retirement gathering here in Wellingborough. I will truly miss him though I’m sure he’ll be looking after us who are left behind.
I can relate the experience to you Jennifer, as I lost my husband two years ago, pretty hard and painful however they would have love for us to be stronger than ever..
My sincere condolences, love and prayers to Jennifer and family.. God bless
With love from Agie xxx
