Robert (Bob) Healey

Robert Healey - 1Robert Brian Healey, known to his family and friends as Bob and of Burnley Road, Accrington died suddenly but peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Sunday 22nd March, 2015, aged 80 years.

After leaving Accrington Grammar School, Robert joined the RAF and served them well.  On his return he worked at Mullards in Simonstone before he transferred over to Philips at Blackburn.  He then later worked for Warwick & Bailey before finally running his own papershop in Huncoat.

Bob greatly enjoyed reading and also travelling, especially with his late wife.  He also took pleasure in walking his dog, but most of all he loved spending time with his loving family.  

Robert was a dearly loved husband of the late Nancy, a much loved father to John and Lynn, a treasured grandad of Alix, a cherished great grandad of Charlie, and a dear brother to Marion.  Robert will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday 1st April, 2015, at 1.00pm.  Family flowers only please but donations are welcome in memory of Robert for Cancer Research UK, c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
