Peter Metcalfe

Peter Silvester Metcalfe of Howarth Avenue, Church, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday 13^th June 2019, aged 70 years.

For most of his working life he was well known in the local area, working as a gardener for over twenty years. He was known affectionately as ‘Pete the Gardener’

In his spare time and during his retirement Peter loved to care for his chickens that he kept on his allotment. He also spent many hours tending to his vegetable plot.

A dearly loving husband of Michele, a much loved father and also a devoted grandad. ‘Pete the Gardener’ will be very sadly missed but fondly remembered by all.

His funeral service will be held at 10.20am on Thursday 27^th June 2019, in the Accrington Cemetery chapel, prior to interment in the cemetery.
