Peter Jackson
Peter Jackson of Maudsley Street, Accrington, passed away peacefully in hospital on Wednesday 17th November 2021, just after turning 80 years.
During his life Peter worked as a Financial Director and Credit Controller at Loan’s At Home 4 You, which was formerly S.D Taylor Ltd, based at Stacksteads in Bacup.
In spare time and during his retirement he was an active member of Whalley Road United Reform Church in Accrington, up until he became too ill to attend. He was also a member of the East Lancashire Railway and loved trains, with steam engines being his particular favourite. He loved going to train stations and watching the trains, an interest he shared with his grandson. He also liked sports too, especially snooker and darts.
He sadly leaves behind his much loved daughter Emma, his treasured grandson Reece, his son in law Chris, his dear sister Mary and brother in law Stefano, his dear brother Steven and sister in law Margaret, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Peter will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his loving family and all those who knew him.
His funeral service will take place at 1.40pm, on Tuesday 30th November 2021, in the Accrington Cemetery Chapel, prior to interment in the cemetery.
