Paul Halsall

Paul Halsall

Paul Halsall of Campion Court, Oswaldtwistle, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home, on Tuesday 5th October 2021, aged 70 years.

In his younger years Paul worked for Joseph Arnolds for a little while, then worked as a volunteer at Oswaldtwistle Mills as a customer helper, which he really enjoyed.

In his spare time he attended Union Road Community Church.  He also loved animals and was a dedicated supporter of the PAWS charity.  Paul though was probably best known as being a member of the Royal British Legion, where he would often be seen at most of their events, of which he was very proud to be part of.  He was also a familiar face in the “Tinker” in Oswaldtwistle, Platts Club, as well as the Warners Arms in Accrington to name but a few, where he enjoyed socialising with friends and playing darts and dominoes.

Another passion of Paul’s was his beloved Liverpool Football Club, who he loved to follow and watch on TV. He also enjoyed catching the train to the seaside, Blackpool being a favourite spot.

Paul sadly leaves behind Maxine, the dear daughter he never had and his cousins Eileen, Edward and Rosaleen.  He was also a good friend to many.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 9.40am, (tomorrow) Friday 15th October 2021, at Accrington Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, but donations are being gratefully received in memory of Paul for the PAWS charity which he was a great supporter of c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. BB5 3DR.  Tel: 01254 390542.
