Michael Hindle (Whitbread Mick)
Michael Hindle of Oswaldtwistle, passed away unexpectedly in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday 14th April 2018, aged 66 years.
Known to many as “Whitbread Mick”, in his younger years he worked at the Daisy Dairy in the Lab, before becoming a Cellar Service Engineer for Whitbread (West Pennine Ltd) at Guide, where he stayed up until his retirement.
In his spare time he greatly enjoyed socialising and meeting friends, the Park View WMC in Clayton-Le-Moors being very close to his heart, where he was also a member. He was a generous guy and would help out now and again by sponsoring the darts matches to give a great first prize. He was also one of the “Accrington Cowboys”. Mick would also enjoy going around the pubs and clubs, especially the Whitbread ones, including the Cross Guns at Church in years gone by.
A much loved son of Cathy, his dear cousins, also a good friend of Stephen, Kallan, Ronnie & Cynthia. Mick will also be very sadly missed by all his friends and family.
His funeral service will be held this Saturday 28th April 201, at 12 noon at Immanuel Parish Church followed by interment in the churchyard. Those who knew Mick are then welcome back to the club (Park View WMC in Clayton) to “Raise A Glass to Michael” in his memory.
Family flowers only please, but donations are welcome in memory of Mick to go towards a floral planter as part of Oswaldtwistle In Bloom c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. BB5 3DR. Tel: 01254 390542
