May Allen

May Allen, of Belvedere Care Home, Accrington, died peacefully in hospital on Saturday 9^th March 2024, aged 86 years.

During her life May was a foster carer for many years, caring for lots of children giving them a warm and caring safe home, being there when needed for children has always been at the forefront of May’s life but in her later years after retiring from fostering, she enjoyed going out and socialising with the Brookes Club and the Bay Horse being two of her favourite places to catch up with friends.  She also attended Immanuel Parish Church in Oswaldtwistle up until having to move into Belvedere Care Home due to a decline in her health.

A dearly loved mum of Lesley, Christopher, Shane, Danny, David, Nik and the late Brendan and long term foster mother of the late William Robson, as well as a treasured grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma and partner of the late Tommy.

May will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

Her funeral service will be held at 11.40am, on Wednesday 20^th March 2024, at Accrington Crematorium Chapel.
