Martyn Bednarczuk
Martyn Bednarczuk sadly passed away on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 in hospital, aged 97 years.
A dearly loved husband of the late Rose, an adored father of Jean, Martyn and Elaine, a loving father in law of Frank, Martin and Janice, a dearly loved grandfather of Amanda, Carl, Clive, Victoria, Amber and Tamzin, a treasured great grandfather of Megan, Natasha, Chelsea, Ethan, Logan and Jonathan.
Martyn began his working life at Huncoat power station, going on to work at John Woods and then working at the Shop-fitters in Oswaldtwistle, before embarking on a career as a cabinet maker and wood carver. Passionate about his work, Martyn started his own business, creating beautiful pieces of work, the likes of which were noticed by Price Philip and resulted in Martyn being commissioned by the prince.
When he was not working hard, producing magnificent pieces of work, Martyn enjoyed spending time with his family, specifically going on holiday to Blackpool, Southport and Llandudno with his wife Rose and dog Suki.
Martyn was a loving and passionate man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His funeral service will be held at 12.30pm (today), Friday 12th April 2019 in the Barton & Hallworth Service Chapel, prior to interment in Immanuel Churchyard.
