Marie Glannan
Marie Glannan, passed away peacefully in Springhill Care Home, Accrington on Monday 4th January, aged 91 years.
In her younger years Marie attended Paddock House Convent Grammar School and was a familiar face around Oswaldtwistle as during her working life she was a teacher at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School for many years, she was also a very active member of St Mary’s Parish, in particular with the St Mary’s Ladies Group and Choir.
She also enjoyed travelling, reading, art, singing and spending time with her family.
Marie was the dearly loved wife of the late Thomas and she sadly leaves behind her much loved children, Catherine, Marie and Philip, her dear son in laws Michael and Sean, her dear daughter in law Rachael, her treasured grandchildren David and his wife Rebecca, Stephanie, Sarah, Paul, Ferne, Anja and Darcy, also a loving great grandma of Riley and Eadie.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 13th January 2021, at 10.30am at St Mary’s RC Church, Oswaldtwistle, for family and close friends only due to the current restrictions, prior to interment at Dill Hall Cemetery.
