Maria Crook

Maria Crook of Hazeldene, Melrose Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital, Fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church on Thursday 17^th September, 2015, aged 90 years.

During her life Maria worked at Joseph Arnold’s Greeting Cards, she particularly enjoyed spending time in her own home, especially knitting, crocheting, gardening and watching German TV.

A loving wife of the late Harry, a loving and much loved mum of Maureen and Peter, a dear mother in law of Paul and Lillian, a treasured grandma of Andrea and Joanne and a special great-grandma of Brandon, Loui, Finlay and Flynn.

Maria will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

Her funeral service will be held today (Friday) 25^th September, at 3.00pm at Accrington Crematorium.  Flowers are welcome or if preferred donations may be sent in memory of Maria for the East Lancashire Hospice c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
