Margaret Wolfenden
Margaret Wolfenden of Lord Street, Rishton, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday 26th October, 2016, aged 74 years.
From leaving school Margaret worked as a machinist at Don Shoe slipper and shoe factory for over 20 years. Later on in life she worked in packaging for Ribble Valley Foods for 4 years, before becoming a welfare officer at Norden High School for over 10 years. She also worked as a cleaner at Rishton Conservative Club for 15 years.
In her spare time she enjoyed going to the Mother’s Meeting at Primetime, her best times by far though were spent alongside her grandchildren, they would often bake and also play games together. Margaret was a dearly loved wife of Brian, a much loved mum of Brian, a treasured grandma of Luke, Gemma and Jack and a dear aunty of Denise and Louise.
The family would like to say a special thank you at this time to the Clayton District Nurses and Ribble Homecare for all their care and support.
A celebration of life service will take place today (Friday) 4th November 2016, at 3.00pm at Accrington Crematorium.
