Lian Amy Louise Cowburn
Lian Amy Louise Cowburn, of Arncliffe Avenue, Accrington, passed away peacefully on Friday 24th April 2020, aged 39 years.
She started her school life at St Paul’s C of E Primary School, before moving up to Rhyddings High School, she then went on to further education at Huddersfield, where she got a textile degree, before studying at Edge Hill University to gain a professional teaching degree too. She then worked as a teacher in Brighton, before teaching at Doha in Qatar, then finally at the International School of Tanganyika-Dar-es-salem.
In her spare time she loved visiting art galleries and museums, but her main interest was travelling. She has visited many places including India, the Far East, South Africa, New Zealand and a short stays in Australia, to walk the Sydney Harbour Bridge, as well as many cities in Europe. Lian also enjoyed sewing and crochet and was a member of Union Road Community Church.
A treasured daughter of Alison, a much loved sister of Matthew and Luke, a cherished granddaughter of Amy and Brian, Jean and Franny, a dear niece of Jacqueline, Adam, Lynne, Teresa and Louise and cousin to many, and not to forget her beloved companion George, her dog.
Lian will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.
A private funeral service will be held, due to the current restrictions.
