Lena Pounder

Lena Pounder of Alice Street, Oswaldtwistle passed away peacefully on Wednesday 15th April 2020, aged 93 years.

Throughout her life Lena was a hard worker and worked at Howard and Bullough’s in Accrington as well as Gem Press in Oswaldtwistle. Her hobbies included listening to music, watching TV, including several sports and in her younger years enjoyed watching Accrington Stanley. She was a member of St Paul’s Church, Oswaldtwistle as well the Camping and Caravanning Club for many years, and greatly enjoyed visiting their favourite place of Carnforth near Morecambe. She also loved going away abroad on holiday to Spain. She also loved pets, especially dogs.

A beloved wife of the late Kenneth, a much loved mother of Stephen and Julie, and her partner Cate, a dear auntie of Ronald and Kathleen and also a dear great auntie of David, Andrew, Suzanne, Lisa, Cathy.

Lena will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

A private funeral service will be held, due to the current restrictions.
