June Wright

Mrs June Annice Wright, of Trinity Street Oswaldtwistle, died on Saturday, November 10, aged 81 years.  Always self employed, Mrs Wright worked as a confectioner, green-grocer, sold frozen food and ran a craft shop. She was also an officer in the Navy.

She was also a member of the Royal British Legion, NSPCC and the Womens Institute, she played the piano, enjoyed listening to Jazz, wrote poetry and travelled extensively.

Wife of the late John and sister of the late Benita, she was the mother of sons Mark and the late Johnny, and daughter Cheryl. She leaves her grandchildren Lisa, Jenny, Scott, Laura, Claire and Rees, and nieces Penny and Heidi.

A funeral service will be held at Immanuel Church, Oswaldtwistle on Wednesday, November 21 at 1.30pm, followed by interment in Immanuel Church yard.

Family flowers only please but donations are welcome for the NSPCC c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, 136 Union Rd, Oswaldtwistle.
