Julie Lane

Julie Lane of Frederick Street, Oswaldtwistle, died peacefully in hospital on Monday 2^nd December 2024, aged 86 years.

During her life Julie worked for over 30 years as a school cleaner and dinner lady at Rhyddings High School.

In her spare time and during her retirement she loved gardening, especially spending time in her allotment which she held for over 20 years.  She also liked knitting and going away on holiday to Bournemouth and the New Forest when her family was young and later enjoyed travelling abroad, including going to the former Yugoslavia, Portugal and Cyprus.

A dearly loved wife of Bill, a much loved mum of Andrew, Carol and the late Anthony and Derry and also a loving grandma and great grandma of numerous grandchildren. Julie will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

Her funeral service will be held at 10.00am on Wednesday 18^th December 2024, in the service chapel at Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, prior to interment in Dill Hall Cemetery.
