John Morris

ohn Morris of St Paul’s Court, Oswaldtwistle died suddenly but peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday 13^th May, 2015, aged 73 years.

Known to his friends as Postie John, after leaving school John started work at Vine Mill in Oswaldtwsitle, he then carried on his working career at Cocker’s Chemicals and then the Shopfitters, but for the last 22 years of his working life he was a local Postman.

John greatly enjoyed music, darts and socialising, especially with his family and friends.  He was also a member of the Brookes club.

John was a dearly loved husband of 50 years to Renee, a much loved father to Sharon and Linda and their partners Nigel and Vaughan, a dear brother to Patricia, a treasured grandad and also a cherished great grandad.  John will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday 21^st May, 2015, at 9.40am.  Family flowers only please, but donations are welcomed in memory of John for the British Heart Foundation c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
