John Croasdale

John Croasdale of Darwen and formerly of Oswaldwitstle, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in hospital on Wednesday 21^st December 2022, aged 84 years.

John started work as a tiler, then decided to walk to Australia which took 3 years, there and back. He then started his own tiling firm, before emigrating to Canada, with Judy his wife and Alex, Michael and Catherine but returned back home after 20 years.

In his spare time and during his retirement John enjoyed walking, football, snooker, and socialising, but his passion without a doubt was bird watching and of which he was intending to go, the day he fell ill.  John was also a member of the RSPB and Oswaldtwistle Social Club.

John sadly leaves behind his dearly loving wife Susan, his much loved son Alex and also his large extended family.

He will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3.00pm on Friday 30^th December 2022 at Accrington Crematorium.
