John Cedric Marsden
John (Cedric) Marsden, of Ward Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, a loving husband and cherished dad, passed away on Thursday 15th September 2022, in White Ash Brook Care Home, aged 85 years.
Throughout his life Cedric was a hard worker and has had various careers over the years, including working as a rabbit farmer, butcher, landlord and as a taxi and HGV driver before taking his retirement after being a Fish & Chip Shop proprietor.
In his spare time and after taking his retirement he was a keen sequence dancer and gardener and loved to walk in the countryside. He also enjoyed cruising, going out for meals and getting together with his family who meant so much to him. Cedric was also a member of the Ramblers, the Bridge Club and the Pottery Club.
Thanks are extended to White Ash Brook Care Home for all their care and support whilst Cedric resided there.
Cedric sadly leaves behind his devoted wife Rose, his much loved children John, Julie, Jason and Joanne, his treasured grandchildren Joseph, Alice, Cain, Shea, Jasmin, Molly, Tilly, Isabelle, Andy, Johnathan, Julie, Melanie and Samantha.
He will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends.
His funeral will take place at 10.00am, on Tuesday 27th September 2022 at All Saints Church, Clayton-Le-Moors, prior to interment at Dill Hall Cemetery.
