Jean Furlong

Peacefully passed away in Springfield Care Home, Blackburn on Tuesday 7th May, aged 81 years.

A former pupil of Rhyddings School, Oswaldtwistle and former employee of British Aerospace.

Jean lived in Penwortham, Preston for the majority of her adulthood, prior to moving in later life to Mellor, Blackburn, to be closer to her daughter and family.  She was a true family person and enjoyed bingo with friends.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony (Tony) Charles Furlong and mother of much loved children Deborah and Graham, a dearest mother in law of Gary, and also a devoted and much loved nana of Kyle, Shaun and the late Jake.

Jean will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Her funeral service will take place at 9.30am on Wednesday 15th May at St Mary’s C of E Church, Mellor prior to a private interment at Hill Road Cemetery, Penwortham.
