Jean Clarke
Jean Clarke of Spring Hall, Clayton-Le-Moors, died suddenly in the Royal Blackburn Hospital after an illness, bravely fought on Friday 1st January, 2016, aged 76 years.
During her life Jean worked in an assortment of job roles from a telephone receptionist to a manageress at Collins Trademarket. She was also a small business owner and owned and ran her own sweet shop “The Victoria Sweet Shop” which was known to many.
She was a dedicated volunteer at Mercer House in Clayton. Jean also helped out by manning the office at The Annex in Barnes Square. She also attended Great Harwood Spiritualist Church.
When not helping everybody else out Jean enjoyed cooking, knitting, reading and playing bingo. She greatly enjoyed going away on holiday and also took pleasure in walking her dog, but without a doubt, Jean most of all loved spending time with her precious grandchildren Jessica and Lucy.
Jean sadly leaves behind her dearly loved children Jackie, Sam and Kris, her treasured grandchildren Jessica and Lucy, her much loved brother Alan and sister in law Maureen and also her dear nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday 12th January 2016, at 9.40am at Accrington Crematorium.
