Jack Morris

Jack Morris formerly of Albert Street, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully in hospital on Wednesday 23rd September 2020, aged 84 years.

After serving in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy Jack had numerous jobs including working as a fitter in local firms, as well as working in South Africa for a time.  He was then employed again as a fitter at BTP Cocker up until his retirement.

Throughout his life Jack was a very proud member of the Fleet Air Arms Field Gun Crew and enjoyed meeting up with his comrades new and old every year.  He was also a keen gardener, who proudly exhibited both flowers and vegetables, even winning awards in some categories.

Jack sadly leaves behind his ex-wife Brenda, his children Natalie, Michelle and Wayne, his grandchildren and also his great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 9.40am on Tuesday 6th October at Accrington Crematorium for family and close friends (due to the current restrictions). The service can also be viewed via live web cast, at www.obitus.com, with the username Xuwa8328 and the password 175907.
