Geoffrey Farmer of Lancaster Avenue, Accrington, passed away peacefully on Friday 29th September 2023, aged 85 years.

During his life Geoff worked as a mechanic at Abbey Service Station as well as serving in the Army for a time in the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) Corps.

In his spare time and during his retirement he enjoyed watching sport, especially cricket and football, with Liverpool and Accrington Stanley being his favourite teams. Geoff was also on the books for Accy Stanley for a time in his younger years. He also loved grassroots football, especially watching his grandsons play for their local teams.

He also loved reading, his holidays to Sorrento and spending time with his family.

Geoff sadly leaves behind his dearly loved partner Kathleen, his daughters Lesley and Tracey, his step children Stephen and Jacqueline and his grandchildren James, Joshua, Jacob, Jude, Sophie, Hayley, Stewart and Grant.

A Celebration of life service will take place at 3.00pm, on Wednesday 11th October 2023, at Accrington Crematorium.
