Freda Taylor

Freda Taylor, formerly of Buxton Street, Accrington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 24^th May 2022, aged 89 years.

During her life Freda worked as a tailoress for Nellie Brindle (Bateson) in Rishton, as well as Highams Woodnook Mill in Accrington, Ann Whitakers Bridal Shop and also Simon Jersey.

In her spare time and during her retirement, together with her husband Roy, Freda greatly enjoyed touring holidays in their caravan, especially visits to Scotland and the South Coast.  The couple also travelled extensively across the world, including across America and Canada and places a little closer to home in Europe including Spain, Switzerland and Austria.  She was also a member of St James Church in Accrington, the Masonic Lodge, Probus and Fellowship.

A dearly loved wife of the late Roy, she sadly leaves behind her much loved son Russell and her daughter in law Jane, she was also a much loved auntie of Sandra and Marilyn and their families.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family and all those who knew her.

Her funeral service will take place at 11.15am, on Wednesday 8^th June 2022, at St James Church, Accrington prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
