Fred Moore

Fred Moore of Rishton and formerly of Langho passed away at his daughter’s home, on Wednesday 25^th October 2017, aged 87 years.

Fred started his working life as an apprentice at the East Lancashire Coach Builders and later moved to work as a foreman at Gillibrands in Blackburn, his favourite hobby was building vintage wagons and just generally tinkering about and building things.

He took pleasure in going away on holiday especially abroad to Fuengirola in Spain, the Canary Islands and also America. He was also an affiliated member of Rishton Conservative Club.

A dearly loving husband to the late Annie, a loving father of Ian and June, a dear father in law to Ian and Michaela, also a treasured grandad and great grandad.

His funeral service will be held (today) Friday 3^rd November at 1.00pm at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church, Rishton prior to interment in Great Harwood Cemetery.  Flowers are welcome and may be sent c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
