Eileen Tipling

Eileen Tipling, passed away peacefully on Friday 5th June 2020, aged 95 years.

After leaving school Eileen worked in a bakery, she then joined the WRENS and worked as a cook, which included preparing food for a Rear Admiral. She also worked at Rishy Crisps in Great Harwood on the twilight shift then as a home help in Huncoat until her retirement.

Before moving to Oswaldtwistle, Eileen was an active member of St Augustine’s Church in Huncoat and was the secretary of the Committee for the Cubs & Scouts for many years.

In her spare time and during her retirement she loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She also enjoyed going shopping and going away on holidays both here in the UK and abroad.

She sadly leaves behind her much loved children Kevin, Gerald and Lynne, their partners Ann and Karen, her treasured grandchildren John-Paul, Michael, Chris, Kelly, Alisha, and Zoe and also her great grandchildren Niamh, Callum, Katie and Daniel.

A private celebration of life service will be held due to the current restrictions.
