Eileen Nicholson

Eileen Nicholson of Edinburgh Drive, Oswaldtwistle, sadly passed away on Sunday 22^nd April 2018, whilst surrounded by her loving family, after an illness bravely fought, aged 69 years.

Throughout her working life Eileen worked for various companies including the Royal Ordinance Factory, the Gas Board and the Civil Service (VAT office). In her spare time and during her retirement, she loved taking care of her home and tending to the gardens, as well as walking, going to the theatre and music.  Without a doubt though her favourite past time was spending time with her family, especially eating out, shopping trips with Joanne and going away on holiday.  She loved going on cruises and was able to visit many countries including Norway, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, America, Canada and Alaska.  She was also a member of the Ossie Strollers and Oswaldtwistle Cricket Club.

Eileen was a dearly loved wife of Peter, a much loved mother of Matthew and Joanne and a dear sister of Jim and sister in law of Joan.  She will be very sadly missed by all her family and friends.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary’s RC Church, Catlow Hall Street, Oswaldtwistle, at 10.00am on Friday 4^th May 2018, prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
