Edna Briggs

Edna Briggs passed away peacefully in hospital on Wednesday 22^nd July, aged 73 years.

During her life Edna had various jobs, firstly starting as a weaver with her mother, she then progressed to sewing but she was probably most familiar when working in her local pubs, in particular The Plough and The Spinning Jenny.

She loved socialising, shopping, playing dominoes and bingo, reading and also doing puzzles, especially in the Take A Break magazine.

A dearly loved mum of Denise, Joanne, Charlotte and the late Karen, a treasured grandma of Jennifer, Ben, Luke, Chelsea, Morgan, Grace, Tom and the late Jessica, a loving great grandma and a much loved sister of Christine.

Edna will be very sadly missed by all her family and all those who knew her.

A celebration of life service for immediate family only will be held, due to the current restrictions, at 9.40am on Thursday, 30^th July at Accrington Crematorium.
