Edith Hodgson

Edith Hodgson formerly of Oswaldtwistle died peacefully in the Isle Of Man on Saturday, June, 14, 2014, aged 84 years.

Before retiring to the Isle of Man Edith worked for Bowers of Church Street, she then worked for the family business on Roegreave Road before leaving to work in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles.  She returned to Accrington in the late 60’s prior to moving to the Isle of Man.

Edith greatly enjoyed reading, walking and her beloved dogs.

She leaves behind her dear brother Brian and sister in law Margaret, her much loved niece Janet and husband Jim and her loving niece Beverley and husband Ian.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014, at 10.00am at Immanuel Parish Church, Oswaldtwistle , prior to interment in the church yard.  Flowers are welcome c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. Tel: 01254 390542.
