Donald Morris

Mr Donald Morris of Commercial Street, Oswaldtwistle died peacefully in White Ash Care Home on Sunday 25th November 2012, aged 74 years. He worked mainly in the building trade and at John Woods Steel Drums in Oswaldtwistle.  He also gave National Service in the Highland Light Infantry. Donald was a member of James Street WMC and for a short time was steward.  He was also a member of the National British Legion Club, Oswaldtwisle (NASH Club). He enjoyed socialising and was a very keen darts player, winning several trophies over the years, he loved going on holidays especially to his beloved Benidorm. Devoted father of Christian, Simon, Julian, Alison and the late Heath, husband of Ann, a much loved and treasured Grandfather and also loved bother of Derek, Joan and Jack.

A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at Immanuel  Parish Church led by the Reverend John Holland on Friday 7th  December 2012 at 10.45am prior to burial in the Church Yard. Family flowers only please or if desired donations may be  made in memory of Donald to Macmillan Cancer Support or The Royal British  Legion c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
