David McLoughlin
David McLoughlin of St Mary’s Court, Clayton-Le-Moors, died unexpectedly but peacefully on Sunday 18th February 2024, aged 72 years.
Throughout his life Dave was a hard worker and worked as head of the parks department for Hyndburn Borough Council.
In his spare time and during his retirement he enjoyed photography, walking and gardening as well as going on holiday, with Malta and Menorca being amongst his favourite destinations. He also liked caring for his pets, Mayia the dog, and Alfie & Mischief his two African grey parrots. He also loved watching TV especially Star Trek and other Sci-Fi type series. He was also a member of the Round Table.
A dearly loved husband of the late Iris. Dave sadly leaves behind his much loved daughters Amy and Wendy, his dear son in law Damien, his treasured grandson Lewis, his sister Julie and brother Trevor and also sister in laws Denise and Sharon, brother in law John and many, many friends, more than you can count. He will be very sadly missed by all those who knew him.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11.40am, on Thursday 29th February 2024, at Accrington Crematorium.
