Colin Monks

Colin Monks of Nelson Street, Accrington, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday 18^th December 2024, aged 82 years.

During his life Colin worked as a plasterer and then later at Hollands Pies.

In his spare time and during his retirement he enjoyed attending the New Era Men’s Group and loved going to and browsing around car boot sales.  He also enjoyed playing pool and was a lifelong fan of Preston North End Football Club.  He was also a former member of the Woodnook Residents Association.

A dearly loved husband of the late Pauline, Colin sadly leaves behind his much-loved daughters Lesley and Hayley, his dear son in law Stephen, his treasured grandchildren Jon-Paul, Lance, David and Amelia and great grandchildren Eva, Jacob, Charlie and Theo.  He will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.

His funeral service will take place at 10.30am, on Monday 20^th January 2025, at St James Church, Accrington, prior to interment in Accrington Cemetery.
