Clifford Edmondson

Clifford EdmondsonClifford Edmondson of Accrington, died peacefully on Tuesday 1st September 2015, aged 92 years.

Originally from Clayton-Le-Moors, he served during the war as a Gunner in the Honourable Artillery Company.  After the war he went on to work at Howard and Bullough’s until his retirement in 1988.

Clifford was a member of the Accrington Old Band Club and also Willow Mount WMC, he liked socialising and also enjoyed the lunches at the Woodnook Luncheon Club.  He was a great outdoor bowler and snooker player and was very successful over the years winning many cups and prizes.

Clifford leaves behind his dearly loved brother Derek, his much loved nieces Lynne and Karen, his dear nephews Geoffrey and Ian, nieces Kathryn and Emma and great nephews Graham, Matthew, Gareth and Dyfan.

His funeral service was held on Thursday 10th September, at 3pm, at Accrington Crematorium.  Donations are welcomed in memory of Clifford to go towards equipment for on Ward C10 at The Royal Blackburn Hospital c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
