Christopher McHughMr Christopher McHugh of Sycamore Grove, Baxenden, died suddenly in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Thursday, November 28, 2013, aged 65 years.

During his life Christopher was a time served mechanical engineer. He also worked for Burnley Paper and Board Mill up until it closed.  Christopher also spent two years working at Morrisons supermarket in Great Harwood before his retirement.

He was also a member of Baxenden Community Forum, a keen volunteer for the Wildlife Trust and a member of the Hyndburn Prospects Group.  He also greatly enjoyed walking his dog and was passionate about conservation.

Christopher leaves behind his dearly loved wife Doreen, his much loved step daughters Sara and Vicky, his dear son in laws Adam and Andy and his cherished grandaughter Isabelle.

A funeral service will be held on Friday 6th December at 3.00pm at Accrington Crematorium prior to cremation.  Family Flowers only please, but donations are welcome in memory of Christopher for the Lancashire & Belle Vue Retired Greyhound Trust and may be sent c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle or alternatively through the charity’s website at www. lancashirergt.com.
