Brian Wolfenden

Brian Wolfenden

Brian Wolfenden, of Rishton and formerly of Newchurch Rd, Higher Clough Fold, Rossendale, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Friday 28th August 2020, aged 77 years.

For the most part of his life Brian worked as a Wagon Driver for Rossendale Borough Council up until taking his retirement after 27 years.

In his spare time and during his retirement he loved going away on holiday to Turkey and on cruises with his late wife Margaret and when younger he also enjoyed a round of golf, but he was probably best known as a familiar face in the local pubs, the Rishton Conservative  Club and The Workman’s, where he greatly enjoyed meeting up for a pint with the lads.

Brian was a dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, a much loved dad of Brian, a treasured grandad of Luke, Gemma and Jack, a dear brother of Tom, brother in law of Audrey and uncle to Graham and Ian.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3.00pm on Thursday 10th September at Accrington Crematorium for immediate family and close friends only (due to the current restrictions). The service can also be viewed via live web cast, at www.obitus.com, with the username Duke9428 and the password 541292.  A drive past the Tory Club for anyone wishing to pay their last respects will be at approx. 2.30pm.
