Brian Edwards

Brian Edwards - 1Brian Edwards died at home on Saturday 21st October following a long period of illness, aged 76 years.

Brian was originally from Smethwich in the West Midlands and was a chartered engineer.

He started his working life as a fireman in the West Midlands.  After 5 years in the service he moved on to pure engineering and got involved in weighing systems.  He travelled the world in this capacity installing and maintaining sophisticated weighing and measurement systems.  During this time having gained all the practical experience, he later moved onto designing and selling systems across the world.

He was the much loved husband and best friend of Suzanne, father to Louise and grandfather to Archie, Molly and Henry.

He loved his cars, music and walking our dogs around the lovely Accrington countryside.

Brian will be much missed.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be

so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away

and although we love you dearly we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

The funeral will be held at Accrington crematorium on Tuesday 31st October at 1:40 p.m. further enquires please to Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
