Bessie Leeming

Mrs Bessie Leeming of Kirk House, Church, Accrington died peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, aged 89 years.

Bessie worked as a weaver after leaving school. She then spent time at home raising her four children.  She then returned to work at Mullards in Blackburn until her retirement.  She greatly enjoyed going on holiday, especially cruises and travelling across the miles to visit her sister Anne and family in Australia.

Bessie leaves behind her sons Stuart, Paul, Jeffrey and the late Trevor, her daughter-in-laws, June, Pat and Marion, her seven grandchildren, and her eleven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday 19^th April, in St Paul’s Church, Catlow Hall Street, Oswaldtwistle at 12.45pm led by Rev John Holland prior to cremation at Pleasington Crematorium.  Family Flowers only please, but donations are welcome and may be sent for Cancer or Kidney Research UK c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral
