Bernice Oates

Bernice Oates, of Devonshire Drive, Clayton-Le-Moors, died peacefully on Wednesday 20^th March 2024, aged 82 years.

During her life Bernice worked for various companies over the years including for Lucas at Burnley, Mastabar in Accrington, Rist Wires & Cables in Oswaldtwistle, Styan & Edna’s Café on Altham Business Park as well as Le Moors Care Home in Clayton-Le-Moors.

In her spare time and during her retirement she enjoyed going away on holiday, this would either be to their caravan at Ingleton, venturing abroad or in their tourer, where she would always take her knitting and crocheting.  She also enjoyed making tapestry’s, watching TV and pottering around in her garden. She also liked listening to music, singing and playing her table top organ. She also helped out at her local Sunday school and supported the pony and donkey sanctuary and PDSA charities.

A dearly loved wife of Peter and much loved mum of Paula, Stephen and Patricia.  Bernice also sadly leaves behind her dear nephews Paul and David and cousin Nell and will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and her friends.

Her funeral service will be held at 10.20am, on Tuesday 2^nd April 2024, at Accrington Crematorium.
