Barbara Stansfield, formerly of Lyndhurst Avenue, Knuzden, passed away peacefully in Highfield Hall, Haslingden on Saturday 24th October, aged 79 years.
After leaving school Barbara worked in the Royal Ordinance Factory at Blackburn and was in charge of the computer room known as the “Main Frame”. In recent years Barbara loved to help out at her daughter’s florist shop Garlands in Oswaldtwistle, serving customers and also making bouquets.
Barbara was loved dearly and will never be forgotten by all those whose lives she touched.
Her favourite past time was spending time with her family and she adored and doted on her grandson Myles, who she was extremely proud of. She loved going for meals and days out with them, as well as holidays to Babbacoombe and Torquay, where she liked sampling the cream teas in Cockington. She also enjoyed flower arranging and cooking.
A dearly loved wife of Ronnie, a cherished mum of Rachel, a much loved mother in law of Simon, a treasured grandma of Myles and his fiancée Olivia and a dear friend to many.
