Barbara Janet Briggs
Barbara Janet Briggs formerly of Longridge and of Oswaldtwistle died peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, aged 57 years.
During her life Barbara shared her good, kind nature as the landlady of the White Bull Public House in Longridge before taking over the reins of The Heys Public House in Oswaldtwistle. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends.
Barbara leaves behind her devoted daughter Nadine, her much loved son Peter and her cherished grandchildren Thomas, Amber Louise, Declan and Thomas, Barbara was also a great friend to many and will be sadly missed.
A funeral service was held on Thursday 17th October 2013 at 10.40am at Oswaldtwistle Community Church, Union Road prior to cremation at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please but donations are welcome in memory of Barbara and may be sent for Cancer Research UK c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
