Anne McManus

Anne McManus passed away peacefully in hospital on Thursday 16^th December 2021, aged 93 years.

Anne was born in Co.Mayo, Ireland and came to Rochdale in Lancashire in 1946 to work as a cotton spinner.  She was a hard worker throughout her life and later retired from Three Brooks Mill, Oswaldtwistle in 1998.

She was an excellent cook and loved hosting large gatherings with family and friends.  She was also a gifted knitter, sewer and patchwork quilter and during her retirement loved making quilts, as well as making many good friends at the classes she attended.

Anne also greatly enjoyed taking frequent holidays to visit her family in Ireland and America, whilst back at home she enjoyed watching TV, especially snooker and quiz programmes.

Anne was a devoted mother of her seven children Kieran, Eileen, Imelda, Mary, Kevin, Peter and John and their partners, also a loving sister and treasured grandma of Lee, Annmarie, Perveen, Tehmina, Richard, Laura, Charlotte, Matthew, Phillip, Ellie, Harry and Bobby-Joe and great grandma of Ava-Mai, Isla-Rose, Aoife and Brogen.

Anne will be warmly remembered by all her loving family and friends.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 2.00pm, on Thursday 30^th December 2021, at St Anne’s RC Church, Accrington, prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
