Ann Holden
Ann Holden died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness in The Hollies Nursing Home, Church Street, Clayton–Le–Moors on Sunday 11th June 2017, aged 76 years.
Ann lived in Oswaldtwistle all her life and in her early years went to Accrington High School for Girls, she later met her beloved husband Derek and throughout her life was a devoted housewife, and spent time bringing up three children. In her spare time she greatly enjoyed socialising, especially going down to the Straits Club on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with her friends, which included playing bingo. She also took pleasure in reading, listening to music, gardening and holidaying in Scotland, two to three times a year before illness took its toll.
Ann was the dearly loving wife of the late Derek, a much loved mother to Heather, Julie and David, a dear mother in law to John, Tony and Gillian, a treasured grandma to Bryony, Luke, Lance, Matthew, Malcolm, Paul, Kirsty, Tobias, Andrew, Nicola and Rebecca and a cherished great grandma to Cole and Alfie and a dear friend of George.
Her funeral service will take place at 1.45pm on Friday 23rd June 2017 at Immanuel Parish Church prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
Flowers welcome, further enquires please to Paul Barton at Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle. BB5 3DR. Tel: 01254 390542.
We were saddened to hear of Ann’s passing, and our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.
