Allan Taylor

Allan Taylor of Lynwood Avenue, Clayton-Le-Moors, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday 1^st June 2018, aged 92 years.

After leaving school, Allan started an apprenticeship at Howard & Bullough, where he remained for all his working life up until his retirement in 1989.

In his spare time and during his retirement he greatly enjoyed watching cricket and was life member at Accrington Cricket Club as well as being a former Chariman there.  He was also a member of Mercer Park Bowling Club and loved crown green bowling along with his friends.  Without a doubt though Allan’s favourite past time was spending time with his family, he also took pleasure gardening and going away on holiday and has travelled to many places throughout his life, especially in Europe, including Croatia, the Greek Islands and Spain.

Allan sadly leaves behind his dearly loving wife of 66 years Elsie, his much loved children Susan and Mark, his dear daughter in law Kathryn and his treasured grandchildren Matthew and Amy.

His funeral service will be held at 11.00am, on Tuesday 12^th June 2018 at Accrington Crematorium.
