Alan Nuttall formerly of Dill Hall Lane, Church, Accrington, passed away peacefully in Mapleford Nursing Home on Tuesday 25th November 2025, aged 78 years.
During his life and for many years Alan served our country in the 7th Parachute Regiment of the Royal Horse Artillery, then later in life worked as a carpet fitter for Border Flooring.
In his spare time, he loved watching Rugby Union. He also greatly enjoyed walking, usually for miles and miles with his dog. He also ventured walking further afield too, including in the Swiss Alps. He also liked watching wildlife programmes and also eating, which fondly earned him the nickname “Swill”.
Alan was the dearly loved husband of Sarah, a much-loved dad of Susan and Mark and a treasured grandad of Sadie and Georgia. He will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.
A celebration of life service will take place at 3.00pm, on Friday 5th December 2025, at Accrington Crematorium.
