Alan Joseph Robinson

Alan Robinson formerly of Charter St, Accrington, died peacefully in hospital on Wednesday 11^th May 2016, aged 74 years.

Alan was a friend to many and all who knew him said he was a good man and a true gent.  From 1965 he worked as an employee at Barnes of Accrington, where he started off as a delivery van driver before changing his job role to becoming a well-respected salesman for the company.

During his retirement and in his spare time Alan loved walking, he also greatly enjoyed going for drives through the countryside, especially the Lake District.  He also took pleasure in holidays in the sun and visiting Scotland, the native roots of his late wife Sheena.

Alan was a dearly loved father of Stewart, a dear father in law of Sheila, a much loved brother of Pauline, Leonard and Philip.  He was also a loved and respected friend.
