Ailsa Haydock
Ailsa Haydock of Park Crescent, Accrington, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Sunday 28th October 2018, aged 85 years.
In her younger days Alisa attended Accrington Girls Grammar School. In the late 1950’s/early 60’s she worked at the Accrington Planning Office, she later taught at Accrington College and then moved onto teaching short hand, typing and business studies at Holy Family/Mount Carmel High School.
In her spare time and during her retirement she attended Union Road Community Church and also in the past Melbourne Street Christian Institute, she was active in the local Labour party and also for the Bullough Park Residents Association.
Ailsa also enjoyed gardening, creative writing, politics and an occasional gamble.
A dearly loved wife of the late Alan, a much loved mother of Mark and Neil, a treasured grandma of Charlie and Jamie and a dear mother in law of Julie.
Ailsa will be very sadly missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral service will be held at 1.00pm on Wednesday 7th November 2018 at Union Road Community Church prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
